Google Bohol, and browse the Images section. What do you see?
The first few breathtaking photos will be of this thousands of dome-shaped hills named, The Chocolate Hills. No, the hills are not made of chocolates, nor does it produce cocoa.
Located at Carmen, these non man-made domes turn a distinct shade of brown during the dry season, hence the name ‘Chocolate Hills’. (looks like Hershey’s chocolate to me). There are more than 1,268 of these grass- covered domes.
How are the Chocolate Hills formed?
It was formed ages ago by the uplift of coral deposits and the action of rain water and erosion.
Now, for the fun part. Extreme and muddy ATV ride by the Chocolate Hills!
For the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with the term ATV, it stands for All Terrain Vehicle. It is a four-wheeler that can be used to drive on top of rocks, mud, dirt and snow.
