We set foot on beautiful Sri Lanka to fulfil Linda’s 5th item of her travel bucket list. She calls it the Asia version of Peru’s Machu Picchu. The Sigiriya is an ancient fortress and palace situated atop of a 200 metres high granite rock.
The complexity of climbing that huge rock with boulders given their limited tools and technology explains why it is synonymously listed next to Taj Mahal, The Great Pyramids and Great Wall of China.
