The Lost City Of Machu Picchu

Last August, we got the chance to travel far beyond Asia and into the Peruvian Andes to discover the lost city of Machu Picchu. The city’s name means “Old Mountain” and the site stands about 7,792 feet (2,430 meters) above sea level in the Urubamba Valley in Peru. It took us 3 flights (1 major turbulence flight), 2 bus rides, 1 train ride, 4 days of walking just to reach here. The journey to Machu Picchu was definitely a long winding road but every second of it managed to quench our curiosities on the Peruvian culture, ancient monuments, and its people.
